ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Capital City Sports Academy in Columbus, Ohio to support the Teacher and promote positive student behaviors in academics and activities. The role includes assisting with classroom activities, supervision of student safety, and helping manage materials and technology while upholding the school’s philosophy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or the Paraprofessional’s Exam completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups of students.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports the Teacher in all student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities (events, chaperoning, committees).
• Performs clerical duties (grading papers, copies).
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom and lunchroom.
• Upholds the school’s philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned (field trips, duty).
