- Ensure that design deliverables comply with applicable national and international codes, standards, regulations, grid requirements, utility requirements, permits, and project specifications.
- Review proposed changes to design criteria, assumptions, and technical requirements.
- Ensure that changes to critical design parameters are properly evaluated and approved.
- Verify that site-specific design inputs, including geotechnical conditions, hydrology, seismic criteria, wind conditions, turbine loads, electrical requirements, and other critical parameters, remain appropriately reflected in the design.
- Review and provide recommendations on proposed deviations from approved Owner/Employer’s requirements.
- Ensure that engineering assumptions and design decisions remain technically justified and properly documented.
Multidisciplinary Design coordination
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination between civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, WTG, Instrumentation & Control, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure that engineering designs are properly integrated and coordinated across all project components.
- Identify and resolve conflicting design assumptions, requirements, dimensions, interfaces, equipment requirements, and technical criteria.
- Maintain and manage the Engineering Interface Matrix.
- Coordinate technical interfaces between major project components, including:
- WTG and WTG foundations
- WTG foundations and geotechnical conditions
- Access roads and turbine transportation requirements
