As a Product Quality Assurance and Lab Testing Specialist, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality, purity, and safety of our ammonia products. You will perform various tests and analyses on ammonia samples, interpret results, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will contribute directly to our reputation for providing high-quality ammonia solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ammonia Analysis:
- Perform a variety of tests on ammonia samples (e.g., liquid ammonia, aqueous ammonia solutions) to determine purity, concentration, and identify any contaminants.
- Utilize specialized analytical techniques such as titration, gas chromatography, spectroscopy, and other relevant methods for ammonia analysis.
- Prepare and standardize chemical solutions and reagents used in ammonia testing.
- Lab Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments and lab equipment used for ammonia testing.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of lab equipment according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
- Quality Control & Assurance:
- Compare test results against established specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and document any deviations or out-of-specification results.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues related to ammonia production.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Record and manage all test data accurately and securely in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) or other designated systems.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing test results and quality control findings.
- Present data and findings to the Quality Assurance Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures for handling ammonia and other hazardous chemicals.
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations related to ammonia production and handling (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Participate in safety audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or lab testing role,specifically with experience analyzing ammonia or similar chemicals.
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining analytical instruments (e.g., GC, Spectrophotometer, Titrators).
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and statistical process control.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
