A reputable BPO firm in Quezon City is looking for an accountant with a focus on financial management. The role involves managing accounts payable and receivable functions, leading the accounting team, and preparing financial reports. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a strong preference for Certified Public Accountants. At least 3 years of relevant experience is required. This position offers a performance bonus and is based in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in similar roles.
• Ability to manage and oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable functions.
• Experience in payroll functions and cash flow reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger, month-end procedures, and financial analysis.
• Compose management reports and conduct KPI analysis.
• Lead and train onsite Property Accountants and remote Assistant Accountants.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Strong desire to learn the Australian Management and Letting Rights (MLR) business model
2. Review and oversee the Accounts Payable function to ensure all bills are managed and paid properly
3. Review and oversee the Accounts Receivable function to ensure invoices are correct and accurate, and AR aging is properly managed
4. Review and assist in the payroll function to deliver fortnight pays to all staff
5. Daily cash flow report and forecast
6. Managing the General Ledger, month end procedures and financial analysis
7. Perform balance sheet reconciliation with proper supporting documents
8. Compose management reports and conduct KPI analysis
9. With a deep understanding of the nature of the business, assist in preparing accurate forecasts and annual budget
10. Lead, manage and train the dedicated Property Accountants on site as well as the Assistant Accountants remotely to achieve the best outcomes
11. Support other junior members for their professional development and further education
12. Attend meetings (remote) with the company and finance leadership team to discuss matters that need to be planned or actioned
13. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Financial Controller and Financial Controller

Job Requirements

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (preferred but not required)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial management
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in similar roles
• Very strong analytical skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and with competing priorities, and under minimum supervision
• Experience in Accounting software such as Xero is highly preferred
