Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions that support BI, reporting, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have strong data modeling, ETL/ELT proficiency, and experience with cloud data platforms across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance while optimizing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Data Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in data warehousing, data engineering, or DB development.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Data Factory).
• Cloud platforms knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse architectures and pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes from various sources.
• Develop dimensional and relational data models for reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance.
• Monitor database performance and optimize storage and queries.
• Implement data integration using cloud and on-prem technologies.
• Document data dictionaries and processes.
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support BI tools with reliable datasets.
