Job summary

LMercado Agri-farms is seeking a reliable cashier for our meat shop in Laguna. You will handle customer transactions, issue receipts, and maintain accurate cash records while supporting daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Senior High School graduate (or higher) preferred.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, customer-oriented, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our meat shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions, cash and sales records, assisting customers with their purchases, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with their transactions, including receiving payments, giving correct change, and issuing receipts.
• Ensure accurate handling and safekeeping of cash and sales, including counting cash before and after each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and readiness of the cashier area at all times.
• Provide courteous and efficient customer service, answer customer inquiries, and assist customers in selecting meat and other products.
• Coordinate with butchers and other store staff to ensure smooth transaction flow and prompt customer service.
• Record daily sales, discounts, and other transactions in accordance with the company's established procedures.
• Log all transactions in the designated logbook for reporting and management reference.
• Ensure that all sales are properly entered into the system or sales log and that records are accurate, with no unexplained shortages or overages.
• Assist in monitoring meat and other product inventory, including proper weighing, pricing, and recording of products.
• Monitor and assist co-workers when necessary to help maintain smooth and efficient store operations.

About you

• At least Senior High School graduate; college level or graduate is an advantage.
• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling and sales recording procedures.
• Comfortable working with cash, weighing scales, and POS/sales recording systems.
• Honest, trustworthy, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak hours.
• Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules as required.
• Willing to perform tasks that support the overall cleanliness and operations of the meat shop.
