Overview

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail, possess strong communication skills, and have a customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, ensuring proper change and receipts are provided.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a professional manner.
• Ensure accurate product pricing and discounts are applied.
• Assist with bagging and packing purchased items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the cash register and cash drawer.
• Monitor inventory levels at the register and alert management when necessary.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and security.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
