Job Description

A cashier is responsible for processing transactions at the point of sale, providing customer service, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with inquiries.
• Answer customer questions about products, promotions, or policies.

Transaction Handling:

• Operate the cash register to process purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Scan items, process payments, and issue receipts or change.
• Handle various forms of payment (cash, credit cards, mobile payments).

Accuracy:

• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Count cash drawers before and after shifts to ensure proper change and balances.

Product Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the store’s products, discounts, and promotions.
• Assist customers in finding products or making purchasing decisions.
