Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor the cane milling system using the DCS to achieve optimal milling efficiency and juice extraction.
Adjust process parameters in real-time to maintain consistent operational targets.
Ensure smooth operation of cane carriers, mills, juice heaters, and related auxiliary equipment.
Coordinate with field operators for equipment checks, manual adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Continuously monitor process indicators (pressure, temperature, flow, power consumption, and extraction levels).
Record and analyze operational data, reporting deviations and abnormalities promptly.
Prepare daily shift reports on mill performance, downtime, and production output.
Ensure compliance with company safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and environmental regulations.
Respond to alarms and emergencies following established safety and shutdown procedures.
Report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or near-miss incidents.
Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Support commissioning, shutdown, and start-up activities of milling equipment.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend optimization strategies.
Qualifications:
Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
