Job summary

Outsourcey in the Philippines is hiring a Technical Draftsman to create detailed shop, fabrication, permit, and installation drawings for custom signage. You will translate architectural plans into precise CAD drawings, prepare layouts, elevations, and fabrication packages, and ensure compliance with codes and ADA standards.

The role requires 2.5+ years in drafting, proficiency with AutoCAD, and experience with signage fabrication and project coordination.

Qualifications

2.5+ years as Technical Draftsman, CAD Designer, or similar drafting role.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Experience creating fabrication, shop, permit, and installation drawings.
Strong understanding of construction documents, architectural plans, and engineering drawings.
Experience with signage/architectural products or related industries preferred.
Familiarity with ADA requirements and local building codes.
Experience using Adobe Acrobat for PDF markups and document management.
Experience with Bluebeam Revu, NetSuite, Smartsheet, Box, Microsoft Office, and cloud PM tools preferred.
Strong dimensions, tolerances, materials, and production documentation knowledge.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

Create detailed shop, fabrication, permit, and installation drawings for custom signage.
Develop CAD drawings from architectural plans, surveys, specs, and customer requirements.
Prepare layouts, elevations, sections, mounting details, and fabrication packages.
Interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, and design specs.
Produce drawings for channel letters, monument, pylon, wall signs, and ADA signage.
Coordinate drawing revisions based on feedback and project changes.
Ensure drawings comply with permits, codes, ADA, and specs.
Collaborate with PMs, designers, estimators, fabrication, and installation teams.
Prepare drawing packages for permitting, engineering review, fabrication, and installation.
Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, manufacturability, and completeness.
Generate material callouts, dimensions, BOMs, and fabrication details.
Assist value engineering to improve fabrication efficiency and reduce costs.
Organize revisions, files, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams.
Support production and installation with drawing questions and revisions.
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
