Job summary

Deployed in Pasig, Philippines is seeking an end-to-end CAD/CAM specialist to manage the full process from drafting to CNC-ready production files. You will detail timber staircases, set out curved designs in StairCon/AutoCAD, and program components for Biesse CNC centres, while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role requires solid CAD skills, English proficiency, and the ability to work full-time during Australian business hours.

Qualifications

• End-to-end CAD drafting and detailing through CAM programming to CNC-ready production files.
• Strong commercial experience with StairBiz.
• Experience with StairCon and/or AutoCAD, including curved/character staircases.
• Solid CAD drafting and detailing experience.
• CAM/CNC programming experience and ability to produce CNC-ready files.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work full-time during Australian business hours.
• Desirable: staircase or architectural joinery detailing experience.
• Experience with StairCon and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Biesse CAM/CNC software or similar.
• Homag woodWOP/SmartWOP experience.
• Experience programming Biesse CNC machinery.
• 3-axis and 5-axis CNC programming experience.
• Timber, joinery or cabinetry manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate

  3D CAD drawings from site measurements, plans and specifications
• Detail custom timber staircases and associated components for manufacture
• Prepare CAM/CNC programs and machine-ready files
• Design and set out curved/character staircases in StairCon/AutoCAD
• Program components for our Biesse Rover 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres
• Check drawings and CNC programs before release to production
• Work closely with our Australian production team to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
• Maintain accurate drawings, revisions and production documentation

Requirements

• Seeking an end-to-end technical resource who can manage the full process from CAD drafting and detailing through to CAM programming and the preparation of CNC-ready production files, rather than focusing solely on general drafting.
• Strong commercial experience with StairBiz
• Strong experience with StairCon and/or AutoCAD, including designing and setting out curved/character staircases
• Solid CAD drafting and detailing experience
• CAM/CNC programming experience and the ability to produce CNC-ready programs/files
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work full-time during Australian business hoursHighly desirable:
• Staircase or architectural joinery detailing experience
• Experience with both StairCon and AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Biesse bSolid, current CAM/CNC programming software, or similar CAM/CNC programming software
• Homag woodWOP and/or SmartWOP experience

• 3-axis and particularly 5-axis CNC programming experience
• Timber, joinery, cabinetry or similar manufacturing experience

Work Arrangement

• Work Setup: Hybrid
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am start time, should complete nine 9 hours work
