Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a Business Finance Manager to drive financial planning, cost controls, and performance across the business units in the Philippines. You will oversee product costing, margin analysis, and pricing strategy while ensuring robust internal controls and timely financial reporting.

Ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with 6–8 years total experience, including 3 years in business finance, with strong SAP and MS Office skills and IFRS/Ind AS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Understanding implications of commercials and tax laws on accounting

Responsibilities

• Prepare Business Plan and drive achievement on financials and operational parameters.
• Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, cost controls, inventory management, and contract management.

• Consolidation of financial statements and monthly/quarterly closures.
• Maintain internal controls and books hygiene including audits.
• Lead treasury activities and liaise with banks and HO team.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships and lead IT function at unit level with CIO support.

Business Finance Manager:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Business Plan and drive achievement on all financials and operational parameters.
• Work closely with Business teams to drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, cost controls, inventory management, and contract management.
• Product costing, margin analysis and tracking, and active participation in pricing strategy.
• Preparation and consolidation of financial statements.
• Upkeep of financial controls and hygiene in books keeping and ensure sufficient internal controls.
• Monthly and quarterly book closure and reporting, variance analysis, ledger reviews, and process understanding/control.
• Support in closing statutory and internal audits.
• Compliance with accounting standards, statutory laws, and regulations.
• Improving efficiency in regular reporting by simplifying processes.
• Drive Working Capital improvement across.
• Treasury management and co-ordination with Bank and HO team.
• Business proposal evaluations, contract negotiation, and Capex/investment plan.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Lead IT function at the unit level with help of CIO.
