Your bite-size role:
A Business Development Engineer (Sales Engineer) position is responsible for driving business growth by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, promoting the company's renewable energy and water solutions, and coordinating with the Project and Design teams to deliver technically sound and commercially competitive proposals. Hence, technical proficiency, the role demands demonstrated competencies in business development, consultative selling, relationship management, negotiation, and government bidding, enabling the successful development and conversion of opportunities into sustainable business outcomes. The ideal candidate should exhibit high standards in communication with partners and clients being an ambassador of Power 4 All. With a strong ability to initiate and deliver committed tasks ensuring utmost success in this multifaceted role.
Your role has a wide range of responsibilities:
- Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company's products or services to customers.
- Discussing equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineers.
- Lead business development initiatives, including market scanning, opportunity identification, and pipeline management to drive revenue growth
- Manage end-to-end government bidding processes, including preparation of technical and commercial proposals, compliance documentation, and bid submissions
- Coordinate with Project and Design teams in developing technical and commercial proposals.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, bid documents, and contract-related requirements.
- Participate in government and private bidding activities.
- Negotiate commercial terms while ensuring profitability.
- Conduct client presentations and promote renewable energy, water, wastewater, and engineering solutions.
- Maintain a sales pipeline and submit periodic reports.
- Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, applying consultative selling and negotiation strategies to secure and sustain long-term partnerships
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments during proposal development.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, KPIs, and profit margin objectives.
- Gather market intelligence and identify new business opportunities.
- Provide good networking relationships and management to the key accounts.
- Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
- Helping customers who have problems with installed products and recommending improved or upgraded materials and machinery.
- Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to the Management.
- Training other sales team members on the technical aspects of the company's products and services.
Who we need for high-performance team:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or any related four-year course;
- Engineering graduates and PRC license holders are preferred, but not required;
- Minimum of three (3) years of continuous Technical Sales, Business Development, or Account Management experience with one employer;
- Experience in Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy, water and wastewater treatment, electrical systems, industrial equipment, machinery, automation, construction materials, or other technical/solution-based products is preferred.
- Experience in government procurement, bidding/tender, and proposal preparation is an advantage.

- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship management, and proposal preparation skills with partners and clients being an ambassador of Power 4 All.
- Liaise with engineers, management, suppliers, vendors, and the client.
- Keen to collaborating on new ideas and impact in a leading-edge environment
- Office-based and willing to travel for site visits, and client meetings periodically
