Job summary

St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a Business Analyst to enhance IT product quality, analyze data for informed decisions, and identify tech solutions for business needs in our healthcare facilities.

The role involves assessing end-user requests, mapping business needs, creating functional specs, and supporting design, development, testing, and deployment of system improvements to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Completed College degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication/Computer Science/Information Technology) or College degree in Medical Science with background in Information Technology.
• Minimum of two years work experience in end-user computing, system support, systems analysis and design.

Responsibilities

• Assess requests from end-users and provide feedback on results.
• Understands strategic business needs and plans for growth.
• Creates, analyzes, and validates detailed functional specifications.
• Participates in design, development, testing and deployment of system enhancements.
• Delivers elements of systems design, business rules, wireframes, or other deliverables.
• Finds technological solutions to business requirements.
• Facilitates design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution.
• Develop parameters for successful IT systems and provide consultation on features or modifications.
• Validate software implementation configuration activities.
• Complete system maintenance training to maintain the system post activation.
• Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed timely.
• Escalates and coordinates production issues to concerned departments or vendors; ensure resolution within SLA.
• Documents system issue and resolution applied.
• Performs other tasks assigned by the Immediate Superior.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Completed College degree in Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication/Computer Science/Information Technology) or College degree in Medical Science with background in Information Technology or related course.
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience in any/all of the following: end-user computing, system support, systems analysis and design
• Experience in maintenance and/or development of clinical applications or hospital information systems is an advantage
