Job summary

Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair medical equipment, perform preventive checks, and ensure equipment is ready for patient care. You will support Biomedical Technologists and stay updated on new technologies to improve service quality and safety.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, an engineering background, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate of any Engineering course preferably Electronics, Electrical or Allied Sciences; or a graduate of related technical vocational course.
• NC II certificate in TESDA electronic courses is a plus but not necessary.
• With at least 2 to 4 years of related experience.
• Can read and interpret technical diagrams of equipment.
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible for assuring the availability of all tools and materials needed for his/her function

Responsibilities

• Assure the availability of all tools and materials needed for the function.
• Relay information or provide suggestions to superior to improve service quality.
• Recommend implementable innovations and improvements in the practice of functions.
• Inform superior of deviations from standards on the same day of the incident.
• May train and mentor junior personnel and assess staff performance.
• Provide support to the unit for internal/external customer queries.
• Inspect and test biomedical equipment prior to use; perform preventive and corrective maintenance under supervision.
• Investigate reported failure of biomedical equipment.
• Evaluate damage and propose solutions to Biomedical Technologists and supervisors.
• Maintain inventory and records of equipment in databases or files.
• Transport and conduct functional testing of portable machines for bedside procedures.
• Coordinate with end-user during and after maintenance; keep superior updated.
