Job summary

WSP is seeking a skilled Electrical/Lighting Draftsperson in Manila to prepare and coordinate lighting layouts, SLDs, and electrical drawings using AutoCAD. You will develop and maintain design documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in electrical/lighting drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with Revit or 3D/BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or related discipline.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with Revit, MicroStation, Navisworks, or 3D/BIM workflows.
• Experience with Projectwise highly desirable.
• Experience in infrastructure projects.
• Experience producing lighting and/or calculations and lighting compliance documentation.
• Working knowledge of lighting design software such as AGI32.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical and/or lighting drafting using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of electrical design drawings, including lighting layouts, cable routing, SLDs, and details.
• Drafting experience in transport or road projects is essential.
• Desirable experience in AutoCAD dynamic blocks and Lisps routines.
• Understanding of engineering drafting principles, drawing standards, and document control procedures.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and convert to detailed design drawings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Continual development of AutoCAD and digital engineering skills.
• Experienced in providing technical drafting across electrical and lighting projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update lighting layouts, drawings, and calculations using AutoCAD.
• Produce detailed electrical drawings including SLDs, cable routing, earthings, GA drawings.
• Develop and maintain lighting and electrical design documentation per standards.
• Coordinate designs across disciplines using CAD and project platforms.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, schedules and deliverables for lighting and electrical infra projects.
• Revise drawings from sketches, markups, and engineer input.
• Perform drawing quality checks for compliance with standards.
• Assist engineers with production of design packages and construction docs.
• Support projects through drafting, coordination and design development.
• Deliver 2D AutoCAD drafting and 3D/BIM documentation per requirements.
