Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced BIM Modeller to join our Design & Engineering team in a role focusing on electrical building MEP and infrastructure modelling. You will draft and model using AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation, while leading BIM coordination and maintaining quality standards.

The position requires strong English communication and the ability to collaborate across disciplines. With 8–15 years’ relevant experience, you will contribute to delivering sustainable, high-quality design

Qualifications

• At least 8–15 years’ experience in modelling and drafting of electrical building MEP and/or electrical and telecommunications infrastructure services.
• Experienced in BIM and drafting, coordinating BIM projects within a 3D environment.
• Suitable CAD/Drafting qualification or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, and red-line markups.
• Ability to lead a team with a positive attitude and deliver high-quality output.
• Experience producing CAD documentation to Australian/International design standards using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to drawing standards.

Role Accountabilities

• Experienced/skill in modelling/drafting of electrical systems in electrical and communications infrastructures, road and tunnel lighting
• Prepare technical drawings, plans and designs for electrical and communications infrastructures, road and tunnel lighting following Australian Standards, electrical and communications utility, Council and local standards and requirements where required
• In charge of the quality assurance and control processes of the BIM team following Arcadis systems and processes
• Manage models, drawings, and interfaces with other disciplines
• Continually improving the delivery of project through standardisation
• Using digital innovation to improve efficiency in delivery of documentation
• Assist the Principal BIM Modeller/Senior or Principal Engineer with the design and drawing operation of assigned projects
• Support the engineers with issues related to drawing standards and usage of Revit/AutoCAD
• Participate in the resolution of technical issues
• Participate in training opportunities to expand skillset from drafting tasks to modelling/design tasks
• Work with other design disciplines applying technical solutions to ensure the integrity of the overall design and model

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 8-15 years’ experience in modelling and drafting of electrical building MEP, and/or electrical and telecommunications infrastructure services either in Philippines, Australia, UK, USA, Middle East and/or other countries.
• Experienced in BIM and drafting, how to define BIM outcomes, BIM processes, how to coordinate a BIM project within the 3D environment and how to apply design to the models they produce
• Suitable vocational qualification in CAD/Drafting or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, and red-line markups
• Ability to manage a team and a positive attitude to your work, reliable and retain high quality of work output
• Experience in the production of CAD documentation to Australian Utility Standards and other international design standards utilising AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, etc.
• Can quickly adapt to drawing standards
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegating skills
• Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management

Highly Regarded Skills

• Experience in utility processes from concept stage to construction and as-built drawings will also be beneficial
• Understanding or skills in GIS packages such as QGIS, ARCGIS, MapInfo, etc.
• Computational design, design algorithms and automation of data manipulation
• Programming / coding skills using applications such as Dynamo, Grasshopper and Python
