Job summary

Private Advertiser in Makati seeks a Retail Merchandise / Category Buyer to support the Division Merchandising Manager in sourcing, buying, and managing beauty, scents, skincare, and related retail products.

You will lead supplier sourcing, negotiate pricing, manage inventory, and coordinate with store, warehouse, and accounting teams to optimize margins and product assortment. The role requires 3+ years in retail buying and strong Excel and ERP experience. Onsite in Makati.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in retail merchandising or purchasing.
• Beauty/ cosmetics or personal care product experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers and products within beauty, fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, and related categories.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment terms, rebates, returns, replacements, and promotional support.
• Handle direct buying of assigned products and categories.
• Evaluate new products based on pricing, quality, availability, quantity, and market potential.
• Monitor product assortment, SKU performance, sales, and inventory movement.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders, re-orders, and price changes.
• Maintain accurate SKU, product, vendor, cost, and retail price information in the system.
• Monitor product costs, pricing, and margins.
• Conduct competitor price and product checks.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and product availability.
• Coordinate with store, warehouse, receiving, accounting, and other concerned departments.
• Monitor inventory levels and product movement and address overstock or out-of-stock concerns.
• Support promotional activities, product launches, and sales events.
• Conduct store and warehouse visits to monitor merchandise availability, displays, and movement.
• Prepare purchase, inventory, sales, and other merchandising reports.
