BAR SUPERVISOR
Oversee Bar Operations
- Supervise day-to-day bar activities to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
- Monitor staff performance and adherence to service standards.
- Ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of beverages.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
Perform and Monitor Service Standards
- Ensure that all drinks are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Conduct regular quality checks of beverages and garnishes.
- Monitor bar cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in accordance with health standards.
- Maintain proper grooming and discipline within the bar team.
Manage Inventory and Cost Control
- Conduct daily and monthly inventory of all bar items, beverages, and equipment.
- Monitor par levels and request replenishment as needed.
- Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and issuance of bar stocks.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system for product usage.
- Prevent wastage, pilferage, and spoilage through proper control measures.
Perform Opening and Closing Procedures
- Supervise and ensure completion of bar opening and closing checklists.
- Check functionality of bar equipment (espresso machine, blenders, chillers, dispensers, etc.).
- Ensure cash handling and sales reports are accurate and properly endorsed.
- Secure safekeeping of all beverages and ingredients at the correct temperature.
Staff Supervision and Training
- Lead and motivate bar staff to deliver excellent service and maintain team morale.
- Conduct on-the-job training and skills development for new and existing employees.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
- Assist in scheduling shifts and delegating tasks to ensure adequate staffing.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new bar personnel when needed.
Guest Service and Interaction
- Greet guests warmly and ensure a friendly and engaging bar atmosphere.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences, including non-verbal cues.
- Offer recommendations and upsell beverages and promotions.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies, health, and safety standards.
- Prepare reports on sales, wastage, and inventory variances.
- Coordinate with management for promotions, menu changes, and new product launches.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues to the Manager on Duty.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
- Oversee cleaning and sanitizing of all bar tools, equipment, and counters.
- Ensure that display glasses and bottles are clean and smudge‑free.
- Maintain proper waste segregation and cleanliness in the bar area.
- Ensure the bar is organized, stocked, and ready for the next shift or opening.
Perform Other Duties as Assigned
- Assist in restaurant operations when necessary.
- Support management in implementing new procedures, promotions, and service standards.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or any related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of bar or food and beverage experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong background in beverage preparation, mixology, and coffee operations.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.

- Computer literacy (POS operation, MS Office) is an advantage.
