Job summary

Thakral One is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer (Azure) to design, build, and optimise cloud-based data pipelines for a Microsoft Fabric-powered data lakehouse. You will enable large-scale data integration across SAP IS-U, SCADA, IoT, and billing systems for analytics and reporting, ensuring data reliability and security.

You will collaborate with architects and business teams to implement ETL/ELT processes, manage Azure resources, and support data governance, analytics tooling, and DevOps

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cloud data engineering experience.
• Strong skills in Azure data platforms and modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform, and load data into a data lakehouse.
• Ensure data quality and governance across SAP IS-U, SCADA, IoT, billing, and CRM sources.
• Collaborate with Cloud Data Architects to optimize data models for scalability and performance.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in Azure.
• Manage cloud resources for cost efficiency, security, and reliability of pipelines.
• Work with data scientists and analysts to enable analytics and reporting (Power BI).
• Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and governance requirements.
• Support infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps, ARM, or Terraform.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Stay current with Azure data technologies and data lakehouse patterns.
