Job summary

Manulife Financial Corporation seeks a Data Engineer to design, develop, and operate scalable Azure-based data platforms. You will build batch and real-time pipelines, develop ETL/ELT processes, and support data services for analytics and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data engineering with strong SQL, Python, PySpark, and hands-on Azure Data Factory/Databricks experience. Hybrid work setup in Metro Manila region is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform technologies (ADF, Databricks, ADLS, Azure SQL).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines on Azure Data & Analytics services.
• Build, optimize, and support scalable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes using ADF, Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Python.
• Develop and maintain data architectures, data warehouses, and data services for reporting and analytics.
• Provide L2/L3 support for data platforms and critical applications, troubleshooting incidents.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and runbooks; collaborate with business and technology teams.
