Job summary

JG Summit Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines in Azure. The role focuses on PySpark, Spark SQL, and Medallion Architecture within Azure Data Lake, enabling robust enterprise reporting and analytics.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor live ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data security through RBAC and best practices. A strong Azure background and mentoring mindset are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong Azure focus.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on PySpark and Spark SQL for complex data processing.

Responsibilities

Build scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) in Azure Data Lake.
Model data, optimize databases, and support enterprise reporting needs.
Monitor ETL/ELT processes and troubleshoot in production environments.
Enforce data security with RBAC and secure access controls.
Document processes and mentor team members through sessions.
