Job summary

Digital Room in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer 2 to join our infrastructure team, focusing on managing AWS cloud infrastructure and robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines. This candidate bridges development and operations, ensuring reliable, scalable deployment processes.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of DevOps or SRE experience, strong hands‑on AWS expertise (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3), and proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services and architectural patterns.
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, including YAML pipeline configuration and runner management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, DataDog, etc.).
• Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS SAM, or AWS CDK.
• Configure Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, and VPC networking.
• Implement AWS security best practices including IAM roles and security groups.
• Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications.
• Configure GitLab runners and optimize build performance across targets.
• Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates in pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment reliability.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; assist in incident response.
