Qualifications

• Vocational graduate in Automotive Technology.
• 1-year proven experience as an automotive mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools commonly found in automotive workshops.
• NC II Electrical Repair is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and tyre rotations.
• Repair and replace faulty components such as brakes, suspension systems, engines and transmissions.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and safety concerns.
• Prepare accurate work orders and maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
• Keep abreast of new automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance professional competency.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work.
