• An automotive designer is responsible for creating and developing the visual appearance and functional aesthetics of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles. They combine artistic creativity with engineering principles to design both the exterior and interior of vehicles, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and market demands. Automotive designers work closely with engineers, marketing teams, and production departments to bring concepts to life, from sketches to 3D models and prototypes.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Alias, CATIA, and SolidWorks. Knowledge of clay modeling and rapid prototyping is beneficial.
