Job summary

Global Staff Connections Inc. is seeking an Auditor to join our client’s team in the audit practice. You will support high-quality engagements through testing, documentation, and financial statement prep while collaborating with Audit Managers and Partners.

You will gain exposure to the full audit lifecycle, develop technical auditing skills, and build client relationships while ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA qualification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of external audit experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Australian standards is a plus.
• Experience with audit planning, testing, documentation, and working papers.

Responsibilities

• Understand the firm's audit approach, methodology, tools, and processes.
• Assist in designing audit plans for client engagements.
• Prepare audit planning documentation using standard templates.
• Select samples for audit testing per procedures and risk assessments.
• Perform tests of controls, substantive testing, and analytical reviews.
• Identify accounting issues under IFRS and research resolutions.
• Keep management informed of engagement progress and findings.
• Draft audit summary memoranda and management letters.
• Develop client relationships to understand operations and controls.
• Stay informed on economic developments affecting engagements.
• Maintain professionalism and firm ethical standards.
