Job summary

PKF R.S. Bernaldo & Associates in Makati, Philippines, is expanding its external audit team and opening ten slots for External Auditors. We welcome fresh graduates, CPALE conditional takers, or CPAs with experience to join our busy audit practice.

You will perform fieldwork, prepare working papers, and assist with tax computations while working on-site from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM during peak season. Training and local regulatory exposure provided.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy graduates or CPAs/CPALE candidates.
• Knowledgeable in GAAP, PAS, PSA, PFRS and local rules.
• Able to interpret financial data and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Excel and audit software.
• Willing to work on-site in Makati and travel for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork for assigned clients.
• Execute audit procedures per work program and document findings.
• Prepare working papers and maintain permanent files.
• Ensure accuracy and proper documentation of audit papers.
• Draft management letters with recommendations.
• Compute income tax and prepare returns per law.

About the role

Join PKF R.S. BERNALDO & ASSOCIATES is a leading medium-sized firm in the Philippines with 32 years of expertise in audit, tax, management advisory, and accounting services.

We are opening ten (10) additional slots for External Auditors with experience, as a fresh graduate, fresh CPA passer, or CPALE conditional taker.

Earn from Php20,000 to Php30,000 monthly commensurate to depth and years of experience.

Our Work Setup and Environment:

• Based in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines

• Daily on-site work, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

• Primarily office-based with onsite client visits as required

• May require extended hours of work during peak audit season

What We're Looking For:

• BS Accountancy graduates - fresh graduates or with experience

• Certified Public Accountant or CPALE conditional takers

• Shifting from accounting or BPO audit to gain experience and career in local external audit

Qualifications of the Role:

1. Knowledgeable in GAAP, PAS, PSA, PFRS, and local regulations such as BIR, SEC, and other regulatory bodies

2. Ability to interpret and understand financial data

3. Organized, adaptable, and flexible in changing priorities

4. Proficient in computer, audit and accounting software, and MS Excel functions and formulas

5. Abreast in current and evolving accounting and auditing development

6. Customer-centric and can handle multiple engagements

7. Thrives in fast-paced, timeline-focused environment

What You'll Do:

1. Perform fieldwork to assigned clients

2. Execute assigned audit procedures in accordance with the audit work program and identify audit-related issues and findings.

3. Prepare audit working papers in compliance with the Firm's standards, including the maintenance and updating of permanent files.

4. Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation of all audit working papers.

5. Draft management letters based on audit findings and provide appropriate recommendations.

6. Perform income tax computations and prepare income tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
