Job summary

MariBank Philippines, Inc. is seeking an Audit Analytics Specialist to analyze large data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights to improve risk controls. You will develop analytics dashboards with inputs from audit teams and stakeholders to enhance audit delivery.

You will monitor central audit issue reporting, prepare management reports, and participate in ad-hoc projects as requested. Strong SQL, Python, and BI tool skills are essential in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Business Analytics.
• At least 3 years of external/internal audit or data analytics experience.
• Experience building audit analytics dashboards for consumer banking incl. AML and fraud risk.
• Familiarity with IIA IPPF, audit methodologies and standards.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication; independent and accountable.

Job description

Audit Analytics Specialist will be responsible for:

• Analyzing large data, trends and results to identify patterns and anomalies and generate actionable insights to enhance risk and controls
• Building the audit analytics solutions with inputs from the audit teams and other stakeholders to improve audit delivery effectiveness
• Monitoring of the central reporting on the audit issue progress
• Preparing of management reports and participating in ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and/or Business Analytics or other relevant specialization
• Min 3 years of external / internal audit experience and/or data analytics experience
• Experience in building audit analytics dashboard especially relating to consumer banking business including (not limited to) AML, fraud risk would be advantageous
• Thorough knowledge of the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework, audit methodologies, and a proven track record in planning and executing audit projects in compliance with professional standards
• Enthusiastic, independent, self-motivated, effective under pressure, and willing to take personal responsibility and accountability
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• A strategic thinker with attention to detail and a structured thought process
• Exceptional analytical and report writing skills. Mature and adept at effective verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in SQL, Python programming, and expertise in data analytics and visualization tools such as IDEA, Power BI, and Tableau
• Experience in leveraging Gen AI to expedite the delivery of the solutions would be an added advantage
• Familiarity with data science knowledge (basic understanding of statistics - Correlation, Regression)
