Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is hiring a Tax Accountant (AU) to join our team in the Philippines. This role focuses on Australian taxation, including GST, FBT and CGT, with responsibilities spanning tax returns, financial statement work papers and client advisory projects.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting, CA/CPA status, and 5+ years of Australian taxation experience. Strong communication and English writing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting.
• Completed or working towards CA/CPA.
• At least 5 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences within Australia
• Thorough understanding of Australia tax legislation (GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A)
• Strong commercial acumen with solid technical accounting skills
• Proficient English writing and verbal skills, ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks; Reckon APS desirable

Responsibilities

• Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns and activity statements.
• Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statements.
• Preparation of financial statements and tax lodgements for entities and individuals.
• Assist clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax and STP.
• Support business advisory projects such as budgets and cashflows.
• Maintain documentation and client files in line with compliance requirements
