Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a software professional to design, develop, test and support moderately complex information system components within a collaborative, customer-focused team. You will work with ASP.NET, C#, Web Services, ETL and REST services, and have exposure to relational databases, Microsoft IIS, Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.

A bachelor’s degree and about 2+ years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
• 2+ years of experience or equivalent in the field.
• Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Multitasking ability and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, Web Services, ETL and REST services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft IIS, Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps and related tools.
• Solid logic, analysis and problem-solving abilities.

Provides systems analysis, design, development, testing and support for moderately complex technical information system components.

Essential Functions and Other Job Information:

• Designs and develops components and services according to specifications within a team environment.

• Performs systems analysis and prepares detailed system documentation including requirements, specifications, test plans and user manuals.

• Performs unit and system tests and, as needed, validation testing.

• Assists DBA with database design.

• Coordinates with Operations staff on deployment of applications.

• Works with business partners to analyze and address support requests to include training.

• Ensures all activities are performed with quality and compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills

• Must be able to multitask and pay close attention to detail

• Solid knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, Web Services, ETL and related technologies, REST services

• Solid knowledge of basic relational database platforms

Working conditions

• Long, varied hours required occasionally.

• Required to participate in on-call rotation.

• Required to work in APAC Shift-2 or Shift 3

Working Hours

India : 1 PM IST – 10 PM IST or 3 PM IST - 12 AM IST

Philippines : 3:30 PM PST – 12:30 AM PST or 5:30 PM PST - 2:30 AM PST
