Penbrothers is hiring an Associate Designer to join our remote team. You will create functional, aesthetically pleasing workplace interiors, translate client needs into design concepts, and collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure high-quality spaces.

The role centers on office design, space planning, and CAD-based documentation, with a strong emphasis on client communication and project feasibility.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional experience in interior design, with at least 1 year in workplace or commercial office design.
• Experience in space planning, layout development, and translating design concepts into practical workspace solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting, technical drawings, and space planning.
• Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualizing interior spaces.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for design presentations and client-facing materials.
• Strong creativity, conceptualization, and visualization skills with ability to develop functional and visually appealing interior concepts.
• Strong presentation and communication skills to explain ideas and collaborate with team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design project from concept to completion.
• Coordinate and execute design solutions for interior design and fit-out works under supervision of Lead Designer.
• Contribute to meetings with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Determine client goals and requirements with Lead Designer.
• Interpret and translate client needs into space planning.
• Develop concept design and present creative interior proposals.
• Research and gather information about projects and discuss requirements in detail with colleagues and clients.
• Propose materials based on set budget.
• Conduct feasibility studies for projects.
• Prepare detailed space plans using CAD/REVIT software.
• Work in a team with other designers.
• Collaborate with quantity surveyors to establish costs and schedules on larger projects.
• Finalize corporate design, 3D, and GFC drawings with client and departments.
• Collaborate with execution support team to turn design into reality.
• Stay updated on design trends and best practices.

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and creative Associate Designer to join our team. The idealcandidate will have a strong eye for workplace design, a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing commercial office spaces, and the ability to translate client needs into innovative design solutions. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure ourworkspaces meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Work Set-up:100% Work from home

Work Schedule: Day Shift - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Philippine Time) with flexible working hours.

Note: Employees may adjust their schedule, provided there is sufficient overlap with the client’s team in India for collaboration.

What You’ll Do (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Undertake design project from concept to completion
• For internal strategy calls, under the supervision of the Lead Designer, you willcoordinate and execute Design solutions for projects in interior design and fit-outworks.
• Contribute to meetings with effective communication and stronginterpersonal skills
• Determine the client's goals and requirements of the project with the Lead Designer
• Interpreting and translating customer needs into space planning
• Develop concept design and present creative interior proposals
• Research and collect initial ideas, and acquire key information about projects. Discussrequirements in detail with colleagues and clients.
• Propose materials based on set budget
• Conduct feasibility studies for projects
• Research and gather information and photographs related to the project
• Producing 'sample boards' for presentation to clients
• Prepare detailed space plan, often using computer-aided design (CAD/REVIT) software
• Work in a team with other designers
• Work closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on largerprojects with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space
• Work closely with the client and other departments to finalize corporate design, 3D andGFC drawings
• Collaborate with the execution support team to ensure your design turns into reality seamlessly
• Research and follow industry changes, evolution and best practices of Design &Material
• Keep up to date with new developments in the design industry
• Research and follow websites/ magazines/blogs/industry changes, evolutions and best practices to stay updated on design trends and improve your skills

What You Bring (Skills, Qualifications or Experience)

• Must have at least 2 years of professional experience in interior design, with at least 1 year of relevant workplace or commercial office design experience.
• Experience in space planning, layout development, and translating design concepts into practical workspace solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting, technical drawings, and space planning.
• Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualizing interior spaces.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for preparing and enhancing design presentations and client-facing materials.
• Strong creativity, conceptualization, and visualization skills, with the ability to develop functional and visually appealing interior design concepts.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain design ideas, share recommendations, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Nice to Have (Advantageous but Not Required)

• Experience with Autodesk Revit, as the team plans to provide training and transition toward using the software.
• Experience with 3D rendering software to enhance design visualizations and presentations.
