Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Mumbai seeks an Associate Engineer Electrical for Data Center projects. You will apply engineering knowledge to assist in detailed design and collaborate across disciplines to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

You will work under supervision on large, complex assignments, utilize AutoCAD/Revit/BIM tools, and contribute to project design, calculations, and reports while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment checks as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Support detailed design of large-scale data center environments following project criteria.
• Perform tasks within budgeted hours and deadlines, integrating criteria into designs.
• Contribute to drawing/modeling production and prepare designs meeting specs.
• Review field data to support summary reports and project documentation.

Job Summary

Under general supervision and applying knowledge gained with experience, begins functioning as a technical specialist. Continues to build on experience and gain more in depth knowledge working on larger and more complex assignments. May start to expand knowledge into other disciplines and/or functional areas.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be familiar with AutoCAD/Revit/BIM design environment and have an ability and interest to engage in a variety of responsibilities to ensure we safely deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations. To do so effectively, candidates must be able to problem-solve and deal with ambiguous scopes to provide clients with flexible solutions on a fast-paced schedule. Additionally, a successful candidate must possess professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Support efforts to deliver detailed design of large-scale data center environments while following all company, client and project design; be a team player dedicated to these design deliverables.
• Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines. Incorporate project criteria into physical design and layouts.
• Possess a willingness to function in multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Incorporate design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.
• Review field surveys, drawings, and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and help develop summary reports.
• Prepare and/or refer to technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Contribute in drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis.
• Prepare designs that comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Compile data and create engineering studies and reports.
• Perform detailed calculations as needed by the project.
• Provides technical support for other personnel in areas of expertise.
• Seek clarifications to determine proper requirements for projects.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are imperative to success in this position.

Management Responsibilities

• Previous experience within Data Centers.
• Possesses familiarity with 3D modeling environment
• Experience utilizing BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit work sets, view templates and project phasing.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
• Self-motivated to deliver results when given a deadline.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously.
• Sound, professional communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 1 year related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
