Job summary

Empower seeks an entry-level associate to serve as the operational contact for plan sponsors, advisors, partners, and third-party administrators. You will manage daily communications, ensure timely issue resolution, and deliver excellent client service across finance-related inquiries.

The role emphasizes educating clients about plan provisions, self-service tools, and portal functionality. A High School diploma is required, with 0–1 year in financial services and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • 0–1 year experience in financial services is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of ERISA, DOL and applicable IRS retirement plan regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem-solve effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively follows up on outstanding issues with internal teams and external clients.
  • Handle issues related to contributions, loans, distributions, enrollment, payroll support, compliance, audit, reporting and inquiries.
  • Ensure issues are resolved and clients are informed of progress with high service quality.

Serves as the operational contact, representing Empower providing support to plan sponsors, advisors, partners and third-party administrators. Accountable for overall delivery of service to our clients. Manages daily communications with internal and external parties to maintain strong client relationships; manages and coordinates inquiries and addresses issues within required timeframes.

What Will You Do
  • Proactively follows up on outstanding issues with internal functional areas as well as with external clients.
  • Typically handles issues related to: contributions, loans, distributions, enrollment, payroll support, compliance, audit, reporting and general inquiries.
  • Ensures issues are being resolved and clients are kept apprised of progress ensuring highest level of client service and satisfaction.
  • Typically handles straightforward problems/issues and refers more complex issues to senior staff.
  • Educates clients on plan provisions and functionality of plan sponsor & participant websites and EIVR.
  • Promptly handles escalated issues.
  • Promotes self-service and education on the plan sponsor service center.
  • Assist with coordination of various client tasks for senior staff.
What Will You Bring
