Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a data pipeline professional to build and automate ingestion pipelines from diverse automotive data sources, using GCP data tools and collaborating with data scientists and product teams.

You will clean, transform, and model data for data science models and dashboards, while upholding data quality and governance across delivery layers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Pipeline Development:

Assist in building, maintaining, and automating robust data ingestion pipelines from diverse automotive data sources.

• GCP Data Ecosystem: Work directly with core Google Cloud data tools including BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
• Analytics Enablement: Clean, transform, and model complex datasets to optimize them for data science models, business intelligence dashboards, and analytics use cases.
• Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, business analysts, and digital product teams to understand data requirements and deliver production-ready datasets.
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement validation checks to ensure data integrity, accuracy, security, and compliance across all delivery layers.

Programming Foundations:

• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• SQL & Databases: Excellent command over SQL syntax, relational database design, query optimization, and data warehousing concepts.
• Cloud Exposure: Fundamental understanding of cloud computing principles. Hands-on projects or academic exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred.
• Analytical Mindset: Familiarity with big data concepts, ETL/ELT processes, or data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a major plus.
