Job summary

The Hershey Company in Manila, Philippines, is seeking an Associate Manager, Commercial Accounting Partner, APAC, to lead GAAP-compliant financial reporting for the APAC region with focus on Gross-to-Net, DME, and SG&A.

You will partner with regional teams to drive accurate results, manage SOX/audit activities, and enhance regional accounting processes, controls, and systems. This role is based in Manila and offers hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Six years of progressive professional experience, including global public company exposure.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP and other financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complete, accurate, timely financial results across APAC for Gross-to-Net, DME, and SG&A.
• Perform SOX and management audit activities and support audit requirements.
• Develop and maintain regional procedures for Trade Promotions, RD&A, and DME; strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with country finance and commercial teams on U.S. GAAP reporting and operational analytics.
• Evaluate regional contracts and distributor arrangements; provide accounting guidance.
• Drive continuous process improvement through global templates and systems.

Job Overview

The Associate Manager, Commercial Accounting Partner, APAC supports commercial accounting activities across the APAC region, with a focus on Gross-to-Net accounting, Direct Marketing Expenses (DME), and SG&A. The role is responsible for helping ensure timely and accurate financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP while maintaining strong accounting and control practices. This position also partners with cross-functional and regional teams to drive process improvements and support global and APAC projects related to commercial accounting platforms and solutions.
The role is based in Manila, Philippines.

Accountabilities

Lead the delivery of complete, accurate, timely, and properly controlled financial results across APAC for Gross-to-Net Sales, including Trade and RD&As, Direct Marketing Expenses (DME), and SG&A.

Perform SOX and management audit activities and support requirements arising from internal and external audit engagements.

Develop and maintain regional procedures, processes, and tools for Trade Promotions, RD&A, and DME while strengthening the region’s commercial accounting methodology and internal controls.

Partner with country finance and commercial teams, providing oversight and guidance on U.S. GAAP reporting, management reporting, and operational analytics.

Evaluate regional contracts and commercial agreements and provide accounting guidance and documentation, with particular focus on distributor arrangements and DME vendors.

Drive continuous process improvement by adopting global template processes and systems and enhancing accounting practices specific to the APAC region.

Support controllership decisions and changes connected to global initiatives, including the centralization of commercial activities with Hershey Trading.

Support the governance and tracking of revenue-recognition triggers, ensuring the consistent, timely, and accurate recognition of financial results.

Collaborate closely with multifunctional commercial, finance, controls, and accounting teams across the region.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• At leastsix years of progressive professional experience, including experience working with a global public company.
• Strong understanding ofmanagement accounting, financial controls, and finance processes.
• Advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Excel and strong presentation skills.
• Working knowledge ofSAP and other financial reporting tools.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills inEnglish.
