Job summary

SpotLab in Madrid is seeking an AI Research Internship candidate to help develop, train and deploy machine learning and image processing algorithms for health applications.

You will work with doctors, engineers and product managers to understand needs, evaluate pipelines, and document the technology while exploring edges of AI, vision, NLP and LLMs.

Qualifications

• Experience developing AI solutions.

• Master's degree preferred in CS/Engineering.

We are offering an Artificial Intelligence Research Internship in Madrid, who will help to develop, train and deploy machine learning and image processing algorithms for health.

Main Tasks

• Developing solutions for medical image analysis using neural networks, image processing and LLMs.
• Preparing the working environment to organize and clean the data, the ground truth, and everything needed to evaluate different algorithms and pipelines.
• Interacting with medical specialists and product managers to understand the needs and assess technical feasibility.
• Deploying algorithms in real time operational conditions working together with the engineering team.
• Helping to draft the technical documentation of the technology developed.
• Supporting the team at any stage of the research from state of the art analysis to experiment planning and execution.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required

• Experience developing solutions in the field of AI.
• Knowledge of the followings subjects is a plus:
• Artificial Intelligence in the Edge
  1. Biomedical image processing
  2. Computer vision
  3. Video processing
  4. NLP
  5. LLMs
  6. Any other input data, such as audio? text? accelerometers? or any other? let us know!
• Software engineering skills in Python and experience with the Python scientific ecosystem.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence frameworks and in particular deep learning libraries (Keras, TensorFlow, Caffe or Torch) (WandB). Knowledge of programming with GPUs is a plus.
• A master's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or another relevant discipline is a plus.
• Encouraged to try new ideas, willing to share points of view with workmates

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal (spanish and english)
