Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Scalable Networks Architect to join their fully remote team. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our networks, servers, storage, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of server hardware and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and capacity management.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT operations team.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and network issues.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
• Minimum of 5 years architecting scalable network solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, load balancing, and network security.
• Proven experience with cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of server administration (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization, and storage technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
• Certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or cloud architect certifications are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
