Private Advertiser is seeking a strategic leader for the Application Engineering Department. You will guide technical direction, standardize processes, and ensure compliance with client specs and international standards. The role emphasizes value engineering and lifecycle cost optimization for pump applications.
You will oversee budgeting, risk reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Service teams to achieve business objectives.
Lead the technical direction of the Application Engineering Department and establish engineering best practices.
Develop and standardize application engineering processes, design methodologies, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with client specifications, international standards, and company engineering policies.
Drive value engineering, lifecycle cost optimization, and energy-efficient pump application solutions.
Serve as the highest technical authority for complex engineering issues and project escalations.
Review and mitigate technical risks that may impact project profitability and delivery.
Establish strong technical relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, key clients, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Support business development by providing technical leadership during project specification, bidding, and solution development.
Lead high-level technical presentations, product positioning, and engineering consultations.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Service teams to achieve business objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Application Engineering Team to achieve high technical competency and performance.

Plan workforce development through coaching, training, job rotation, and succession planning.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify development opportunities, and support career growth initiatives.

Establish systems for technical quality assurance, lessons learned, and knowledge management.

Collaborate with management on strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational development.
Lead and oversee pump selection using manufacturer software, hydraulic calculations, and engineering standards.
Review Total Dynamic Head (TDH), NPSH calculations, system curves, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and system layouts.
Validate pump sizing, application suitability, and technical compliance for all projects.
Coordinate technical validation with OEMs, consultants, and suppliers.
Provide technical guidance for complex projects and engineering clarifications.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system optimization activities.
Oversee warranty-related technical investigations and coordinate resolution with service teams.
Ensure lessons learned are documented and communicated across departments.
Manage workload allocation and project assignments for Application Engineers.
Review engineering deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
Conduct regular technical meetings, mentoring sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Act as the primary escalation point for technical concerns and engineering disputes.
Monitor departmental KPIs, engineering productivity, and workload distribution.
Prepare and present weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual performance reports.
Review technical quality metrics and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety, security, business continuity, and ethical practices.
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and adherence to service level agreements.

Be willing to travel or be assigned to other company branches when required.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
A licensed Mechanical and or Electrical Engineer
Minimum Work Experience:
Has a minimum of three (5) years working experience in the field of pumps and motors industry.
Must undergone at least three (3) years being a supervisor.
