Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Analytics Lead – Data Engineering to spearhead analytics infrastructure, data modeling, and AI-enabled workflows. You will coordinate a Manila-based team, drive scalable data solutions, and partner with stakeholders to advance data-driven decision making.

The role focuses on building robust pipelines, applying advanced analytics, and delivering reliable analytics platforms across the Global Communications function.

Qualifications

• Proven Power BI expertise with DAX and measures.
• Data modeling in Power BI and Fabric Lakehouse; orchestration tools such as ADF, Power Automate or Databricks.
• ETL: building data pipelines using Power Query; SQL, Python, Spark.
• Experience with AI APIs, GPT-based workflows, or MCP for analytics workflows.
• Insight extraction from large datasets and translating into recommendations.
• Experience designing data capture solutions (Smartsheet, AirTable, Zoho).
• Experience coordinating work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strategic thinking to ensure data management supports current and future needs.
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years hands‑on experience in data management and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering and analytics infrastructure across the analytics ecosystem, including ingestion, APIs, pipelines, transformations, Fabric Lakehouse, storage, orchestration, AI/MCP integrations, QA, and reusable datasets.
• Develop analytics systems, tools, automations, and integrations with focus on scalability, reusability, and maintainability.
• Modeling and ETL/ELT development using Power Query, SQL, Python/PySpark; create PBIs and ensure data integrity.
• Lead or support AI-enabled analytics foundations and workflows, including API integrations and MCP design.
• Perform statistical analyses and contribute to dashboards, reports, and presentations; support interpretation and storytelling.
• Investigate analytics challenges and lead their solutions and ongoing maintenance.
• Coordinate execution across Manila-based team members; promote knowledge sharing and escalation as needed.
• Develop best practices, SOPs, and instructional materials to promote analytics success.
