Job summary

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Monitor and triage security alerts and logs to identify potential security events and escape issues in accordance with documented procedures.
• Review vulnerability scan results and help coordinate remediation activities with internal teams.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, or escape Information Security tickets and service requests assigned through the helpdesk process.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of security tools and controls under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support security assessments, audits, and evidence-gathering activities, and help track remediation items to completion.
• Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Help administer the organization’s security awareness training and phishing simulation program.
• Create and maintain documentation, including operational runbooks, procedures, knowledge articles, and user guidance.
• Work collaboratively with Information Security, IT, and other business teams to support enterprise security objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

• Deep understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with managing SOC operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and client-facing security service delivery.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, stakeholders, and client environments.
• Experience providing practical security guidance in support of client risk management and control improvement efforts.
• Experience with implementing security controls for cloud and hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in evaluating and implementing security technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive consistent, high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Basic understanding of core information security principles and concepts, including access control, vulnerability management, phishing, endpoint protection, and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with common security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint protection tools, vulnerability scanners, email security tools, or identity and access management solutions is preferred.
• Ability to analyze information, follow established procedures, and elevate issues appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and security concepts in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, or enterprise IT environments is helpful, but not required

Education / certifications:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
