As a Climate & Sustainability Analyst, you will combine quantitative rigor and AI-driven analytics with sharp commercial instinct to help market leaders navigate the net-zero transition.

  • Build & Innovate: Deploy AI workflows, rigorous quantitative models, and scenario analysis to assess climate risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver Impact: Advise top financial institutions and enterprises on strategic decarbonization and evolving global standards.
  • Win the Market: Act as a technical specialist with a client-first mindset, translating complex data into compelling pitches and winning proposals.
The Team:

Powered by S&P Global’s unmatched data intelligence, the Climate and Sustainability Services team is a global powerhouse with a large number of market practitioners and academic experts.

Operating without regional boundaries, we combine proprietary datasets and rigorous cross-disciplinary analytics to help global market leaders seamlessly embed climate and sustainability into core enterprise strategy. In this role, you will report into the Pacific Practice Lead, driving high-impact client solutions across the region and globally.

Key responsibilities:
  • Collaborative Innovation & AI Transformation (Lead Driver): Thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional global team—bringing an open, growth-oriented mindset to constantly challenge legacy workflows. Actively design, test, and deploy AI-driven solutions and automated analytical pipelines across all practice areas to accelerate client delivery, scale proprietary toolkits, and pioneer next-gen climate advisory products.
  • Rigorous Project Management & Execution: Own project lifecycles from scoping to delivery—driving cross-functional workstreams, enforcing strict quality standards, managing timelines, and seamlessly coordinating global stakeholder inputs to exceed client expectations.
  • Climate & Nature Analytics: Execute quantitative analyses on greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting (incl. financed emissions across asset classes), climate-related physical and transition risks (through scenario analysis methodologies), nature & biodiversity impacts and dependencies and target setting to evaluate clients’ key impacts, risk exposure and potential opportunities.
  • Strategic Solutioning & Disclosures: Guide clients through global reporting standards, sustainability disclosure requirements and readiness, materiality assessments and relevant E&S risks and opportunities to craft sustainability-inclusive risk management frameworks, actionable transition plans and sustainability roadmaps.
  • Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management: Collaboratively manage project workstreams with other team members, coordinate data collection processes, ensure quality control and synthesize complex technical outputs into executive-ready reports, briefings, and presentations with clear articulation of approaches and methodologies deployed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Commercial Enablement: Support regional leadership and commercial teams to drive business development through technical solutioning and drafting of client pitches and proposals.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience: More than 3 years of relevant experience in assessing climate risk, performing ESG analysis / advisory and/or executing corporate sustainability efforts and reporting with proven track record in project management and stakeholder management at multiple levels.
  • AI, Quantitative & Technical Innovation: Combine strong quantitative modeling and statistical thinking across financial and ESG datasets with hands-on Python programming, API integration, and agent development. Operating with an agile, entrepreneurial mindset, you will rapidly prototype, test, and deploy automated workflows and prompt-engineered solutions. Translating client delivery workflows and business requirements into scalable, market-ready AI capabilities.
  • Executive Communication & High-Impact Storytelling: Exceptional written, visual, and verbal articulation with proven mastery in crafting boardroom-grade decks and C-suite briefings. Ability to command executive presence, captivate institutional audiences, and translate complex quant, code, and AI methodologies into decisive, high-stakes business narratives.
  • Essential Abilities: The candidate is expected to demonstrate sharp analytical rigor, attention to details, a solution-oriented mindset and strong systems thinking acumen to navigate problem statements, strategize action plans and distil assessment findings into coherent, business-useful insights.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Sustainability, Environmental Economics, Sustainable Finance, Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Standards & Frameworks: Solid grounding in core sustainability and disclosure frameworks, incl. GHG Protocol, SBTi, PCAF, ISSB (IFRS S1 & S2) and their regional variations, SASB and TNFD.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: Articulate written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience structuring high-quality presentation decks, executive summaries, and captivate the audience.
  • Analytical Toolkit: Advanced quantitative and data modelling capabilities in Excel; ability to synthesize large, complex environmental and financial datasets.
  • Language: Proficiency in a local language apart from English is preferred.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
