We’re looking for an experienced financial crime professional who enjoys digging into transaction activity, identifying unusual behavior, and making well-supported decisions from investigation findings.
You’ll be handling cases involving potentially unusual or suspicious financial activity while supporting an international financial services operation.
Examine flagged transactions and determine whether activity appears reasonable or requires further investigation.
Review account behavior, transaction history, customer information, and available supporting data.
Connect individual transactions with broader behavioral patterns and identify potential risk indicators.
Investigate cases involving possible money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, or other financial crime concerns.
Apply appropriate KYC, CDD, and EDD principles during case assessment.
Document investigation results clearly, including the rationale behind case decisions.
Escalate matters that require additional review or regulatory consideration.
Assist with cases that may result in STR/SAR reporting.
Maintain accurate case records while meeting required productivity and quality standards.
Handle confidential customer and financial information responsibly.
At least 3 years of practical experience in transaction monitoring, AML investigations, financial crime, fraud investigations, or a similar discipline.
Direct exposure to reviewing and resolving transaction monitoring alerts.
Experience identifying suspicious transaction patterns and financial crime red flags.
Knowledge of AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, STR/SAR, and CTF processes.
Previous experience within banking, financial services, FinTech, payments, or another regulated environment.
Strong written documentation and analytical abilities.
The ability to understand complex transaction activity and explain your findings clearly.
