Job summary

BMW Mexico seeks a Regional Information Protection Specialist to drive governance and execution of the Information Protection Program across the Americas. You will work with delegates, business functions, and security teams to manage risks, incidents, and awareness initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in cybersecurity, knowledge of ISO 27001/TISAX, and strong communication in English. Experience with prototype vehicle protection and cross‑entity coordination is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Information Security, Computer Science or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus for advanced responsibilities.
• 3–5 years of professional cybersecurity experience is preferred.
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, compliance, and incident management is desirable.
• English fluency is essential; German knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and execution of the Information Protection Program across the Americas.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for information protection incidents and risk mitigation.
• Develop regional cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
• Conduct risk assessments for critical assets and safeguard sensitive data.
• Oversee protection for prototype vehicles and confidential information.
• Support investigations and evaluate business impact for incidents.
