An Air Conditioning (AC) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires technical expertise in diagnosing and fixing problems with HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, and providing customer service to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation: Install new air conditioning systems, including setting up components such as units, ducts, refrigerants, and electrical wiring.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting system components to ensure the unit operates efficiently.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning units, such as leaks, compressor issues, faulty wiring, and sensor malfunctions.
  • Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and knowledge to identify the cause of system failures and implement appropriate solutions.
  • System Upgrades: Provide recommendations to customers on energy-efficient upgrades or replacements of outdated systems.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers regarding service details, offer advice on proper system use, and answer any technical questions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and installations, as well as tracking parts inventory.
  • Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, local regulations, and environmental guidelines regarding refrigerants and waste disposal.
  • Emergency Services: Respond to urgent service calls, including after-hours, to address critical issues with cooling systems.
