Job Description
We are seeking an AI Video Editor to produce high-quality, performance-focused video content for a diverse portfolio of client accounts.
This role combines advanced conventional video editing with practical expertise in generative AI. You will create polished paid-social videos using client assets, existing footage, generated imagery, AI video, animation, motion graphics, sound, and other production techniques.
The ideal candidate can create visually distinctive styles such as claymation-inspired animation, stylized 3D or cinematic content, character-led scenes, and other AI-generated formats while maintaining consistency, realism, brand alignment, and commercial usability.
Speed and first-draft quality are central to this position. We are looking for someone who can understand a brief, make strong production decisions independently, and deliver usable work without requiring numerous rounds of amendments. The successful candidate will also help improve AI-assisted production workflows so the agency can produce more creative variations efficiently.
This is not an entry-level editing role or a position for someone who has only experimented casually with generative AI. Candidates must demonstrate a strong portfolio of finished work combining sound editing fundamentals with sophisticated AI-assisted production.
Key Responsibilities
AI Video Generation
- Produce original video sequences using generative AI tools and workflows.
- Create stylized animation, cinematic scenes, character-led content, product visuals, and other AI-generated formats.
- Translate scripts, storyboards, references, and creative briefs into coherent visual sequences.
- Maintain character, product, environment, lighting, and visual-style consistency across shots.
- Write and refine prompts to achieve specific creative and brand outcomes.
- Select appropriate generation models, settings, reference assets, and workflows for each project.
- Evaluate generated outputs critically and regenerate or repair unsuitable footage.
- Identify and correct common AI issues involving anatomy, movement, lip sync, product accuracy, text, lighting, perspective, and continuity.
- Combine generated assets with traditional footage, graphics, typography, and sound.
Performance Video Editing
- Edit conversion-focused videos for paid social and other digital channels.
- Build strong openings designed to capture attention quickly.
- Maintain effective pacing, narrative clarity, visual variety, and forward movement.
- Structure videos around the approved message, customer problem, product benefit, proof, offer, and call to action.
- Edit UGC, testimonials, demonstrations, product footage, animation, and other performance formats.
- Create multiple hooks, openings, lengths, or format variations for testing.
- Adapt edits for different platforms, placements, aspect ratios, and audience behaviors.
- Ensure that creative supports the message rather than distracting from it.
Post-Production and Finishing
- Complete professional editing, compositing, masking, keying, tracking, motion graphics, and visual effects.
- Add appropriate typography, captions, transitions, music, sound effects, and audio treatment.
- Perform color correction, visual matching, cleanup, and final finishing.
- Seamlessly combine AI-generated footage with live-action and supplied assets.
- Maintain legibility and visual quality across mobile-first formats.
- Export deliverables according to required platform specifications.
- Complete thorough quality assurance before submitting work.
- Verify spelling, captions, product representation, brand elements, audio levels, timing, and export settings.
High-Volume Production
- Produce creative at the speed and volume required by a performance-focused agency.
- Manage several client projects with different brand identities, audiences, and visual styles.
- Prioritize deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.
- Build reusable templates, prompt structures, presets, and production systems where appropriate.
- Produce meaningful creative variations without relying on superficial changes.
- Estimate production requirements accurately and flag potential delays early.
- Maintain responsiveness during urgent campaigns, launches, and revision periods.
Brief Execution and Creative Judgment
- Interpret scripts, briefs, storyboards, references, and strategic direction accurately.
- Ask focused questions when information is genuinely missing.
- Make informed creative decisions without requiring step-by-step instruction.
- Understand the message and strategic purpose behind each video.
- Preserve the approved hook, concept, and call to action throughout production.
- Identify when a requested execution may not work technically or creatively and propose practical alternatives.
- Deliver first drafts that are close to final and require limited corrective revision.
- Apply feedback accurately without repeatedly making the same mistakes.
AI Workflow Development
- Research and test emerging AI video, image, animation, voice, and production tools.
- Recommend tools and workflows based on output quality, speed, controllability, and cost.
- Develop repeatable processes for generating variations and producing content at scale.
- Help create workflows that turn structured inputs into multiple usable creative outputs.
- Document prompts, settings, model choices, and post-production processes when valuable.
- Identify which production stages should be automated and which require human creative judgment.
- Improve efficiency without allowing automation to reduce quality or brand accuracy.
- Share useful developments and workflow improvements with the wider creative team.
- Work closely with creative strategists to understand the intended audience, message, angle, and testing objective.
- Collaborate with designers, media buyers, account teams, and other editors when required.
- Provide practical feedback on whether briefs and concepts are producible.
- Review performance feedback and apply relevant learnings to future edits.
- Contribute visual ideas and references when they improve execution.
- Maintain clear communication around progress, dependencies, versions, and deadlines.
- Respond professionally to direct and detailed creative feedback.
Asset and Project Management
- Maintain organized project files, generated assets, source footage, audio, fonts, and exports.
- Use clear file naming and version-control practices.
- Keep client materials and brand assets accurately separated.
- Maintain an organized library of reusable prompts, generated assets, templates, and production references.
- Protect confidential client materials and use AI platforms responsibly.
- Confirm that supplied or generated assets are appropriate for commercial use.
- Archive completed projects so files can be located and revised efficiently.
Qualifications
Required
- Significant professional video-editing and post-production experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating polished AI-generated or AI-enhanced video work.

- Practical expertise with current generative-video and generative-image workflows.
- Ability to create stylized animation, character-led scenes, cinematic sequences, or comparable advanced AI content.
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, sound, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience editing short-form social or paid-advertising content.
- Ability to maintain visual and character consistency across generated shots.
- Ability to recognize and correct AI artifacts and continuity problems.
- Previous agency experience or equivalent experience producing work across multiple brands or clients.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining high visual and technical standards.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and make strong independent production decisions.
- Track record of delivering polished first drafts with limited revision requirements.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and file-management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Clear written and spoken English.
- Reliable communication in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Suitable computer hardware, reliable internet, and the technical capacity to process and transfer large media files.
Preferred
- Experience producing claymation-inspired, stylized 3D, cinematic, or character-animation content with AI.
- Experience with tools such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, Higgsfield, Adobe Firefly, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, or comparable platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent professional software.
- Experience with Blender, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, or another 3D production environment.
- Experience with AI voice generation, lip synchronization, character consistency, and image-to-video workflows.
- Experience creating paid-social creative across ecommerce, healthcare, financial services, events, or other consumer sectors.
- Understanding of direct-response advertising and creative-performance metrics.
- Experience building automated or semi-automated creative-production workflows.
- Experience using workflow tools that generate multiple creative variations from structured inputs.
- Basic understanding of copyright, likeness, disclosure, and commercial-use considerations for generated media.
