Job summary

Green Link Digital Bank Pte. Ltd. is seeking an AI Engineer to join our growing AI team in developing AI-enabled banking solutions. You will work across machine learning, Generative AI, and LLMs to prototype and deliver production applications, collaborating with data, risk and business units.

Candidates may be junior or senior, with senior onboarding involving architecture reviews, mentoring, and ownership of complex AI implementations while ensuring responsible AI practices and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/DS or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Python programming fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ML concepts and AI fundamentals.
• Experience with ML/DL, Generative AI/LLMs, APIs or cloud apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enabled applications with ML, Generative AI, LLMs and AI agents.
• Build prototypes/production apps by integrating AI models, APIs, databases and systems.
• Evaluate models, tools and techniques for business use cases.
• Develop/train/finetune AI models where appropriate.

Job description

We are seeking an AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer to join our growing AI team. This is a unique opportunity to be a foundational member of our AI initiatives, with a primary focus on developing AI-enabled solutions for the Bank. We welcome candidates at different levels of experience. Candidates with more experience and is able to meet more senior criteria will be considered for the role of the Senior AI Engineer.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Development: Develop and implement AI-enabled applications and solutions, including those using machine learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents.
• Application Development: Build prototypes and production applications by integrating AI models, APIs, databases and existing systems.
• Experimentation: Evaluate different AI models, tools and techniques and recommend suitable approaches for business use cases.
• Model Development: Where appropriate, develop, train, fine-tune or configure machine learning and AI models.
• Data Preparation: Work with data engineers and business users to understand data requirements and prepare data for AI applications.
• Deployment & Monitoring: Support the deployment, testing, monitoring and ongoing improvement of AI applications.
• Responsible AI: Develop solutions with consideration for data privacy, security, explain ability and responsible use of AI.
• Collaboration: Work closely with technology, data, risk and business teams to translate business problems into practical AI solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for solutions developed.
• Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of developments in AI and experiment with new technologies that may be relevant to the Bank.
• Senior Hire: Additional technical responsibilities including leading solution architecture, reviewing technical designs, mentoring junior engineers and taking ownership of complex AI implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or another quantitative/technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Good programming fundamentals, preferably in Python.
• Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts.
• Some hands-on exposure to at least one area such as: Machine learning/deep learning; Generative AI or LLM applications; APIs and backend development; Data processing and analytics; or Cloud-based application development.
• Experience in any of the following would be useful: LLMs, RAG, AI agents or agentic workflows; PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face or similar frameworks; LangChain, LangGraph or similar AI application frameworks; Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP; Docker, CI/CD or MLOps practices; Databases, vector databases or data pipelines; Application development using APIs and microservices; AI security, governance or responsible AI practices; Financial services or regulated industries.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and experimenting with unfamiliar tools.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively with others.
• Academic projects, internships, personal projects, GitHub work or other demonstrable hands-on experience may be considered in place of extensive industry experience for junior hire.
• Candidates who are able to demonstrate experience delivering AI/ML applications into production and the ability to independently design and lead technical solutions will be considered for a more senior role.
