Job summary

MSCI is seeking a technically strong data professional to enable AI within the Climate Data and Content team. You will build tools, automate workflows, and leverage Python, generative AI, and modern data operations in day-to-day work.

You will own data collection cycles, design QA frameworks, develop dashboards, and collaborate with vendors and analysts to maintain data integrity in a global, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a quantitative field.
• Experience in data operations, data engineering, or analytical roles; ESG/Climate exposure is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in Python with ability to script, automate, and analyze data pipelines.
• Active user of generative AI and LLM tools integrated into workflows.
• Working knowledge of SQL; Power BI or Tableau desirable.
• Understanding of climate frameworks (TCFD, ISSB, GRI) is advantageous but not required.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and clear communication.
• Proactive, curious, and comfortable at data-technology-sustainability intersection.

Responsibilities

• Identify automation opportunities and drive adoption of AI tools.
• Build and maintain Python scripts to automate data tasks.
• Integrate LLM-based tools into workflows for extraction, classification, and anomaly detection.
• Design AI-friendly data collection methods for structured data at scale.
• Validate AI outputs and maintain human-in-the-loop accountability.
• Own end-to-end data collection cycles from disclosures, feeds, filings.
• Design QA frameworks and anomaly detection for data accuracy.
• Develop dashboards and trackers to support SLA tracking.
• Identify and resolve data integrity issues with vendors and teams.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and scale workflows via tooling.
• Contribute to cross-functional groups to expand coverage.
• Train analysts in new tools and AI-assisted workflows.
• Communicate data methodology and process changes to stakeholders.
