Job Overview:

The AEM Component QA Lead role is a Technical Quality Assurance role will be responsible for ensuring that technical project assets are of the highest possible quality, allowing Project Managers to deliver on time, on budget and to specification with confidence. The QA team works alongside Project Managers, Developers, Business Analysts and Webmasters every day to ensure projects meet specified requirements and the job is complete per the initially defined requirements. This lead role will combine hands‑on testing with leadership, process management, and cross‑team coordination.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Define test plans, test strategies, and quality standards.
  • Assign tasks, mentor junior testers, and monitor progress.
  • Implement QA best practices, suggest process improvements, and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to align testing goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify and communicate risks related to software quality and testing timelines.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track test coverage, defect metrics, and quality KPIs for stakeholders.
  • Creating and executing manual tests for web applications. Provides release notes and release readiness reports.
  • Openly participating in continuous practice improvement and opening defect tickets with clear, detailed explanations and instructions to reproduce.
  • Proactively self‑managing own tasks in view of the larger QA effort as well as other required QA deliverables.
  • Proactively raising risks and potential issues that could block or delay testing activities. Report testing status and progress against the testing plan to the project team and Senior QA or QA Lead.
  • Test types include functional, integration, visual, sanity and regression. Preferably can execute functional tests created by QA Engineers.
  • This role will have a goal of establishing a robust, automated QA process to allow the QA team to accommodate deep development scope for releases. This lead will need to outline and build that process, determine the tools necessary, and utilize AI & automation to have a very lean QA process that can handle a large volume of dev output.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s / College Degree in a technology related discipline, such as IT or Engineering.
  • With 4 years of testing experience for software quality assurance / manual testing, web and e‑commerce applications, CMS, and CRM.
  • Background in AEM QA for component dev, environment, integration, visual testing.
  • Experienced in Test plan preparation and tasks scheduling based on the project timeline.
  • Experienced in providing daily and weekly status report to project team.
  • Experienced with test case management tools as Zephyr, Testlink, Redmine, Google Forms, Confluence.
  • Experience using defect tracking systems such as JIRA or similar application.
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall approach desired.
  • Web application testing experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with different phases of STLC, SDLC, and Testing Methodologies.
  • Preferably with Basic CSS, HTML and Java script knowledge.
  • Experienced working with different offshore counterparts and time zones.
  • Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced conducting project and platform demos and walkthroughs to QA and project team.
  • Advantage having Automation experience using Selenium applied in a project using any of these programming languages: C#, Java, PHP.
  • Willingness and ability to work side by side with development project teams throughout the project cycle.
  • Proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail and creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and self-motivation skills.
  • Able to handle basic QA tasks as a sole QA resource in a project.
  • Analyze test results and proactively troubleshoot issues with Product Owners,
  • Development and QA peers to replicate / identify and resolve issues.
