Job summary

Molex, a Koch company, is seeking an Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) Engineer to lead quality planning activities for new product development and modifications. You will work with Product Design, Manufacturing and cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement preventive actions, and ensure launches meet safety, quality, delivery and cost expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Advanced Quality or quality-related functions within an automotive-standard environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team facilitation skills.
  • Experience with APQP, AIAG Core Tools, and IATF requirements.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using Minitab or similar analytic tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute quality plans for new products and engineering changes to ensure successful product launches.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks throughout the product development cycle.
  • Lead and support APQP activities, process audits, and safe launch programs.
  • Ensure measurement systems and testing methods are validated and standardized.
  • Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve customer and internal quality concerns using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D).
  • Support supplier audits and quality improvement initiatives for new and critical suppliers.
  • Conduct risk assessments, reverse FMEA reviews, and compliance audits to prevent quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and capture lessons learned to strengthen product development processes.
  • Support quality system compliance with ISO, IATF, and EH&S requirements.
  • Perform other quality-related projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.
