Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as actuarial science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics, or operations research
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel; Python preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication including presentations
• Ability to lead discussion with cross-functional team
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Interest in actuarial exams and insurance credentials
• No experience required; interest in actuarial science

Responsibilities

• Profitability Reviews/New Submission Analyses: review products to determine portfolio profitability and segmentation
• Monitor and Reporting: track rate changes, pricing adequacy and underwriting mix
• Actuarial Studies: analyses to improve pricing parameters and segmentation
• Tool Building: design, program, maintain, and support pricing tools
• New Product Support/Rate Plan Improvement: collaborate with underwriters on rating plans
